MadFoto Meetup
A photography meetup group that connects this portfolio to local photographers and shared walks with a camera.
About the group
MadFoto is the meetup group linked from this site. It sits alongside the galleries, the dailies and the projects as the community side of the work: photographers meeting, walking and photographing together.
The group is part of the same habit that shapes the rest of the portfolio — looking closely at small places and absorbing the sights around you, then sharing what you saw.
The group is reachable through its Meetup profile: meetup.com/MadFoto.
MadFoto began as a simple idea: that photography grows faster when it is shared. What started as a personal habit of carrying a camera on ordinary days turned into something that wanted company, a reason to meet other people who also stop to look at small things. The group sits alongside the galleries, the dailies and the personal projects as the community side of this work, a place where the same curiosity about light, shape and the everyday can be passed back and forth between photographers rather than kept to oneself.
A meetup is less about instruction and more about attention. Photographers gather, walk together through the city or out into quieter places, and photograph whatever catches the eye, then compare what each of them noticed. Someone sees an abstract pattern in a wall, someone else catches a passing gesture, and the same street becomes several different pictures. That exchange of visions is the point. It keeps the habit alive, keeps the eye honest, and turns a solitary walk with a camera into something warmer and more generous.
