My Story

Pressing the shutter to share what moves me.

Every time the shutter is pressed, something has stirred and there is a desire to share it. Photography became a way to unleash creativity and to illustrate day-to-day trips, tours, and other events.

My camera has taught my eyes to look, to peer into small places, and to absorb the sights around me. Here I share my visions with you.

Using the images: Sharing on the internet is welcome with proper credit and a link back to the website. Use for printing or profit activities is reserved to the photographer.

Behind every gallery here is a hobbyist photographer whose day job happens to involve computer systems. Juan Carlos Heredia approaches photography the way he approaches engineering: with curiosity, patience, and a willingness to notice the small details that others walk past. What began as a way to record travel and everyday events gradually grew into a broader visual practice, one that spans dailies, thematic projects, timelapse experiments, cinemagraphs, and personal studies. The through-line is simple: paying attention.

The camera changed how he sees. Learning to frame a shot meant learning to peer into small places, to absorb the atmosphere of a street, a landscape, a room, or a passing moment. Those lessons carried over into daily life, where attention became a habit rather than an occasional act. Photographs on this site are the result of that habit — images gathered from trips, tours, and ordinary days, then organized into galleries and projects that reflect how the world actually looked and felt at the time.

The work divides naturally into recurring interests: urbanscape and landscape photography, abstract compositions, nature, portraits, timelapse sequences, cinemagraphs, and miscellaneous collections that resist easy classification. Some galleries are updated as new frames arrive from recent outings; others are older sets revisited and refined. This mixture of daily practice and thematic projects keeps the archive alive, a growing record of places visited and people encountered rather than a fixed catalogue of finished work.

Sharing is central to the process. Each time the shutter is pressed, something stirs — a desire to show what moved him, to offer a glimpse of a scene that would otherwise pass unnoticed. This site exists for that reason: to publish the visions, to open a guestbook and a contact channel for anyone who wants to respond, and to keep a timeline of the ongoing work. The aim is neither commercial nor exhaustive, just a steady, honest accumulation of images made by someone who loves making them.
